Honda has always put a strong focus on safety, and the 2019 Honda Fit is no exception. With active and passive safety features standard on every trim, you can rest assured that the Fit has your back on the road. The Honda Fit’s active safety features — including driver-assist technology — help prevent an accident from occurring. The EX comes standard with several driver-assist features, including Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), and a Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS). Passive safety features are integrated into every trim of the Honda Fit to help protect you in the event in an accident. These include a quality airbag system with SmartVent® front airbags, side curtain airbags with rollover sensor, and advanced front airbags.
The 2019 Honda Fit combines energetic performance with an efficiency rating perfect for city drivers. A 1.5-liter inline four-cylinder engine comes standard on every trim level. When paired to the standard six-speed manual transmission, the powertrain gives off 130 horsepower and 114 lb-ft of torque and earns an estimated 29 mpg in the city and 36 mpg on the highway.* If you upgrade to the Continuously Variable Transmission with Sport Mode, the Fit’s output remains fairly similar at 128 horsepower and 113 lb-ft of torque, but its efficiency improves to 33 mpg in the city and 40 mpg on the highway.*
